Illustrated hardback, 567 pages
This book is laid out in four sections: England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. Ireland was at the time united and after the Acts of Union were signed in 1800 became part of the United Kingdom in 1801, even though Ireland had been in 'personal union' with England since 1541. Today all but Northern Ireland is independent. This book covers all four countries. Within these main sections, are the counties - Americans would call them States to get the same perspective. An example of a county would be Gloucestershire, another would be Cornwall.
As you go through this introduction, you will get a look at terms that have always confused the reader, an explanation of rarity, a look at grading, some book errors, minting notes, a short bibliography, and more. Based on questions about the book heard many times, what is included is an attempt to answer a few questions before you form them.
